Stevns Klint

World class nature

The nature of Stevns is an experience in itself. Explore UNESCO World Heritage Stevns Klint and look for fossils while you imagine a long gone era. Grave mounds and ancient monuments tell exciting stories about legends and superstition

Attractions and city adventures

From Køge you can go by train directly to Roskilde where you find the cathedral, harbour, the Viking Ship Museum, and several other interesting attractions. But Køge itself offers charming streets, museums, shops, and the biggest market square in Denmark. Just 12 kilometers south of Akaciegaarden Bed & Breakfast is St. Heddinge, a town with many shops and a pedestrian street. A little further south is Rødvig, a port with fresh fish. The local train “Grisen” (“the pig”) runs between Køge og Rødvig and stops in Varpelev.

Fun for everyone

In Køge, only 15 kilometers from Akaciegaarden Bed & Breakfast, you find the S-train going to Copenhagen where you find Tivoli, Strøget (a row of shopping streets in the central Copenhagen), and Rundetårn (the Round Tower), just to name a few attractions in Copenhagen. If the children want to visit an amusement park, you find Bonbonland around 33 kilometers south. On a rainy day, a good alternative is Legejunglen, a play centre in Køge. Do you feel like playing golf? In Vallø, 7 kilometers from Akaciegaarden Bed & Breakfast, is the golf course “Vallø Golf”.
